Frisbie Memorial Hospital is currently seeking a full time Sonographer. The Technologist is responsible for the provision of quality diagnostic examinations using the principles of ultrasonography in the areas of gen eral ultrasound (no vascular) and OB/GYN through direct patient contact. They will independently perform diagnostic ultrasound examinations and assist the Radiologist or other provider in performing image-guided invasive procedures. The Sonographer will demonstrate a thorough understanding of anatomy, physiology and pathology sufficient that independent selection and modification of technical factors can be made when performing ultrasound examinations. This requires a high degree of independent judgment, ingenuity and initiative.
We require successful completion of an approved curriculum in Ultrasound culminating in eligibility to participate in the ARDMS certification process. Certification by the ARDMS is required during first year of employment.
