Medical Associates work collaboratively to evaluate, investigate and document written and telephone medical complaints and technical inquiries related to JJV products.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Evaluates medical complaints, assigns appropriate classification and determines filing requirements. Assists with filing adverse event reports to the appropriate worldwide regulatory bodies within the required time lines
  • Responsible for actively monitoring workflow and ensuring required information is provided to the Compliance team for initial and updated medical reports to support timely filing to applicable regulatory agencies.
  • Positively interacting with the customer and eye care professional, educates and advises on proper use and replacement options of JJVC products.
  • Coordinate medical expense reimbursement claims ensuring compliance to applicable company guidelines.
  • Adheres to GMP regulations within complaint and medical files and other documents within the department.

Qualifications

Qualifications

Education: Minimum RN or BS Degree preferred, 3-5 years of related medical device industry experience in lieu of education required

Experience and Skills:

Required:

  • Minimum 2 years of relevant professional work experience
  • Portuguese and English reading, writing and speaking proficiency. Additional proficiency in Spanish preferred.
  • Strong oral communication and technical writing skills for documenting Health Authority Adverse Event Reports, Patient File/Medical Record Summarizations and Legal or Health Authority Response Letters
  • Strong interpersonal and organizational skills

Preferred:

  • A strong understanding of 21 CFR Part 4 Good Manufacturing Practice Requirements for Combination Products, 21 CFR Part 314.80 Post marketing Reporting of Adverse Drug Experiences, and 21 CFR Part 803 Medical Device Reporting

Other:

  • 100% Remote position, must have stable and reliable internet access
  • The anticipated base pay range for this position is $60,000 to $84,000/yr.

The Company maintains highly competitive, performance-based compensation programs. Under current guidelines, this position is eligible for an annual performance bonus in accordance with the terms of the applicable plan. The annual performance bonus is a cash bonus intended to provide an incentive to achieve annual targeted results by rewarding for individual and the corporation’s performance over a calendar/ performance year. Bonuses are awarded at the Company’s discretion on an individual basis.
