The director, Experience Innovation role is essential to driving Starbucks Reinvention Plan, specifically through the strategic optimization of the purpose-defined store portfolio. At Starbucks, we are moving from one-size-fits-all formats to a portfolio approach to trade area planning that brings to life new store concepts and formats designed for the future. Our goal is to enable the most effortless and delightful experiences imaginable for partners and customers and to create a resilient, high-growth portfolio.
This role will ensure effective implementation of our purpose-defined store strategy through diagnostic reporting, proactive management of the execution of purpose-defined store standards, and shaping the long-term strategic view of the portfolio mix. This role will partner closely with Marketing Planning, Starbucks Data, Analytics, Insights, and Business Operations (DAIBO) teams as well as Finance, Concepts, and Store Operations in service of new experiences that will define the future of how customers and partners (employees) engage with Starbucks.
Building and empowering diverse teams, codifying and sharing what we’re learning, and driving system-wide innovation and iteration at scale to deliver enterprise growth aspirations are also key to this director role.
As director, Experience Innovation, you will…
- Develop and systematize purpose-defined format reporting and diagnostics for senior-level audiences, both to inform ongoing visibility to and elevate insights to support decision-making
- Proactively shape long-term strategic view of portfolio mix, based on insights and purpose-defined store strategy
- Partner closely with Staffing & Scheduling Excellence, Finance and DAIBO teams to ensure correct productivity drivers are imbedded into operationalized staffing model
- Build and lead a high-achieving, diverse team that is motivated and empowered to create the future of the Starbucks experience
