POSITION STANDARDS Unrestricted NH Medical License Required Current DEA license Required BLS Certification Required NRP Certification Required Board ! Certified or Board Eligible in Obstetrics/Gynecology. If Board Eligible, must be actively working toward Board Certification. Demonstrated Competence in providing obstetric care as delineated on the Clinical Privilege list Demonstrated Competence in performing general gynecologic surgery as delineated on the Clinical Privilege list Demonstrated Competence in office based Gynecology and Women Health Care Services as delineated on the Clinical Privilege list POSITION PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS Anything listed here requires a pre-employment physical by Employee Health to determine if the employee is capable of meeting the requirements. none specified FUNCTIONAL RESPONSIBILITY Position Objective Provides comprehensive obstetric care. Provides comprehensive office based Women’s Health Care services including gynecologic services. Performs general gynecologic surgery to treat diseases and disorders of the female genital tract or to improve patient function, or quality of life. ! Performance Expectation Evaluate all patients presenting to th! e Women’s Care Center. Obtain an appropriate history and physical exam. Order and interpret diagnostic laboratory and imaging studies. Provide appropriate treatment to all patients presenting to the Women’s Care Center. Obtain consultation as clinically indicated and appropriate. Document the history, physical exam, and laboratory and imaging studies as well as treatment in the medical record. Obtain appropriate prenatal laboratory and imaging studies as delineated in the APD medical staff Rules and Regulations, WCC policies and per individual patient requirements. Obtain appropriate informed consent for all surgeries and procedures as described in APD Medical Staff Bylaws, Rules and Regulations and Policies. Maintain complete and accurate prenatal care records. Maintain complete and accurate intrapartum records. Complete all inpatient and outpatient hospital records within 30 days of day of service. Communicate with referring practitioners, Primary Care Provi! ders and pediatric providers in a timely and collegial manner. Providers who request consultation must receive a written report. Review previously ordered laboratory and imaging studies and determine appropriate course of treatment for patient based on results. Communicate results to patients in a timely manner. Document all â€Å"after-hoursâ€쳌 communication with patients. Provide call coverage for established Women’s Care Center patients. Provide â€Å"back-upâ€쳌 call for WCC Midwife providers. Provide ER call coverage for unassigned Gynecology and Obstetrics patients. Provide consultative services for the WCC Midwifery Practice. Participate in the High Risk OB meeting with at least 50% attendance. Treat all patients and staff with respect. Participate in staff education and clinical Quality Assurance/Performance Improvement activities. Attend clinic staff meetings with at least 50% attendance. Abide by CMS Conditions of Participation for Hospitals. Abi! de by the APD Medical Staff bylaws, Rules and Regulations and policies.! Participate in APD Medical Staff Professional Practice Evaluation Program. Attend APD Medical Staff General Meetings. Attend APD Medical Staff Department of Maternal and Child Health meetings. Abide by all APD policies.
