At the Administrative direction of the Radiology Manager and the Clinical direction of the Ra! diologist/Team Leader, this position will perform ultrasound examinations which include real-time, 3D & 4D imaging as well as familiarity with multiple imaging modalities including high-risk gynecological/obstetrical examinations/procedures, infertility and complex ultrasound guided biopsies. Must possess physical health sufficient to meet the demands of the position, with strength sufficient to lift patients with assistance and to move heavy equipment on wheels (approx. 200 lbs) over carpeted and tile floors. Must also have the ability to maintain precise transducer positioning as required, for prolonged periods of time as well as sustain abduction of arm position(s) for extended time as needed. Will be required to lift up to 30 lbs maximum initial force and 13 lbs sustained. Must have the ability to move equipment, stock items or linen as needed for exam rooms.

Must be the graduate of an A.M.A. approved allied health program and registry eligible. One year of relevant experience preferred, but not required. Successful completion of Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers (RDMS) certification is required within one year of employment. Current Certification in Basic Cardiac Life Support is also essential. Must maintain active certification by the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers (ARDMS) in the specialty areas, as appropriate.
